MOSCOW, May 23 (PRIME) -- The information on the Russian central bank’s foreign currency purchases via intermediaries to prevent the ruble from uncontrolled strengthening is not correspond to reality, a spokesperson for the regulator told PRIME on Monday.
Vedomosti business daily reported earlier in the day citing sources that the authority has resumed foreign currency purchases, buying the exporters’ foreign currency proceeds using third-party financial market participants.
